The 2013 Alps Tour season will take off next February with two tournaments in the Red Sea area in Egypt. For the first time of its history, the Alps Tour will go to Egypt, in Ain Sokhna. This city is lying on the western shore of the Red Sea’s Gulf of Suez. It is situated 55 km south of Suez and approximately 120 km east of Cairo. This is a major destination for Cairo residents desiring to get out of the capital’s notorious summer heat.

The two events will be played on Sokhna Golf Club, part of the Jaz Little Venice Golf Resort. The resort offers a stunning five-star golfing holiday in Egypt. The hotel features 60 pleasantly furnished, beautifully decorated rooms with all the modern amenities. There is a lot of choice for eating and drinking with two restaurants and three bars. Guests have access to a private beach. Facilities include a golf shop, wireless connectivity, two swimming pools and a gymnasium.
The 18 holes Championship Course is designed by the renowned John Sanford & Tim Lobb, famous for their specialized designs and organic approach to golf course creations. This is the first course using Paspalum Platinum for its fairways, greens and driving range. It incorporates native desert into its 6,968 yards’ layout providing stunning bunkers. The second 9 holes course will be mixed with 9 holes of the Championship course to play the second event.
The two events will take place as follows:
– Red Sea Ain Bay Open: 26th to 28th February 2013
Pro-Am event on 1st of March 2013
– Red Sea Little Venice Open: 5th to 7th March 2013.
Both events, opened to 108 players will distribute a prize money of 30,000 euro each and will fully count for the Alps Tour Order of Merit.

Our partner TPC-Touristic Promotion Company will offer a special package to the participants and the opportunity to come before to practice.
