Second Round Players Quotes-
Italy’s Andrea Saracino who was in a tie for 2nd place yesterday, shot a 1 under-par round for a two-day total of 3 under-par, co-leading at the conclusion of round two. After signing one of the few under par rounds of the day, Saracino was rationalized that:“Today I played really well, I actually played better than yesterday but unfortunately my putter didn’t help me and 3 putted twice from short range. My long game is really good, I hope tomorrow there will be less wind. This course is already very difficult in good conditions so the wind we have today it made it even harder. I’m very positive about tomorrow for another good round because my game has been very good.” He expects the “winning score be at 7 under-par especially if the weather conditions will be like today with the very strong wind. Obviously, I would like to be on top tomorrow afternoon with the 7 under-par winning score.”
Netherland’s Davey Porsius shot an amazing bogey-free round in tough conditions to co-lead entering the final round. His round included 1 birdie and an eagle on his finishing hole for a two-day total of 3 under-par. Porsius has been playing well lately and is looking to finally breakthrough with his first Alps Tour victory. After his bogey-free round, he was very satisfied and commented:“I was expecting some wind but definitely not this much wind. I struck the ball very well. It’s not easy on these fairways and greens. I kept it in play and rolled in a lot of putts today. Hopefully I’ll get it done tomorrow after some rest and practice now.” Porsius had some previous experience on this course, having played here as an amateur in the past: “I played this course 7 years ago as an amateur on a work trip and I remembered this course being very sloppy and tough and my memory was right. This course though is very enjoyable, if you hit good shots you will get rewarded and so far this week I’m enjoying it a lot.”
