Italy’s Nino Bertasio took a real advantage over the field to lift the Open de Saint François Région Guadeloupe trophy. He add a 66 5-under-par card to his overnight 64 to lead by five shots of fellow Giorgio De Filippi. At third place, big hitter France’s Damien Perrier.

Bertasio played his second round in the afternoon and had to deal with more wind and some few rain drops. He only dropped on shot on the par 3 eighth and signed for solid 66, best score tie of the day (scored by Julien Gressier as well).

Bertasio, 25 year old, did not win since his maiden victory in Morocco in 2011, the CIMAR Open Samanah on another satellite tour. If he managed to finish on the top of the leaderboard after 54 holes, he would lift his first Alps Tour trophy.

Italy’s De Filippi and Perrier from France are his closest opponents but they still have to be very effitient on greens if they want to put some pressure on flying Italian. The cut eventually felt at +1, 41 players including 17 year olf amateur, Martinique native, Samuel Lamotte.
