Guadeloupe native, fencer Laura Flessel-Colovic, six world champion titles and two gold medals in the Olympic Games, is the Open de Saint françois 2014 patron.

Laura Flessel is one of the most honored athlete in France. The 42 year old fencer, born in Guadeloupe, attented 5 Olympics Games including last venue in London 2012 where she was the flagcarrier of the french delegation.

Flessel, whose husband Denis is a singe handicap golf player, has been learning to golf golf for a little more than a year but as often with great athlete, they learn very fast.

Flessel’s nickname while she was fighting was “La Guèpe”, meaning the wasp in French. Her favorite botte was to t hit her opponent to the foot. She had an incredible fight spirit and her will to win will for sure be her best skill on fairways and greens.
More than 170 players are currently playing the opening Pro-Am before the Alps Tour pro tee off for a three round tournament. Flessel is the patron of the Open de Saint-François 2014.
