Different place, same story. As last week in France, play has been suspended at Flory Van Donck Trophy at 17h45 and will not resume before tomorrow 7h00. A group of 4 players are leaders at the club house with a score of 69.

Weather is driving officials crazy this season. Summer has not arrived yet in the north of Europe and rain and lightening are disturbing golf tournaments. Big quantity of water felt on course in the night before first round and the morning session groups had to open the umbrellas for at least one hour. Still, they were the lucky ones today because they finished their round. Swiss Fredrik Svanberg (picture), Italy’s Andrea Rota and Spain’s Luis Garcia Del Moral and fellow Gerard Piris Mateu are co-leaders at club house with 69 card.

The afternoon players first thought that they were in good draw as the sun and the heat came back on Golf de 7 Fontaines. But after heavy rain at 15h00 during 45 minutes, the storms that avoid the golf course for hours finally flooded greens, fairways and bunkers. Italy’s Matia Miloro is currently -4 with 3 holes to play.
