Rozner increased half way lead in France
Antoine Rozner increased his advantage heading to the week end in Metz, France. He signed back to back 65 to lead with -12, three shot clear of fellow countryman Léonard Bem and one shot further of Maxime Radureau.. Still very hot temperatures on course of La Grange aux Ormes this Friday, more than 35°C and windy.
« It was not the same feeling as yesterday, I struggled to find the pace of the greens and I three putted twice. But in the other hand I holed two eagles, including a gimme on the 12th. It was again a very good day and I am pleased with that.
It is a four round event which is not so often on the Alps Tour but I won’t play differently during the moving. I know I am only half way tournament and I want to keep on with this good feeling. I will have a good rest as it took a lots of energy to play with such a heat, 35-38 ° C on course. »
The cut felt at level par with 43 players including an amateur, Aurélien Simeurt.

Three way tie in Austria
A group of 3 players lead the Gösser Open after shooting 66, 6 under first round. Last week winner Matt Wallace, French rookie Léonard Bem (picture) and Swiss Marc Dobias.
Wallace is leading the order of merit and he kept on proving his good form. He holed seven birdies and only dropped one shot the par 3 8th.
« My neck on Wednesday went into a type of spasm. I must of slept funny Tuesday night. It still hasn’t healed fully. It doesn’t hurt when I do my backswing but it does on follow through. I tried to forget about it. I played nice again today. I’m playing very similar stuff.
A few missed putts that hopefully one round I can make in the next few days. This course is playing really nice. Greens are great. If you hit it nice off the tee you will have quite a few short irons into the green. If you’re the right side of the hole you will have a ‘makable’ putt. I’m happy with the start of this week considering my neck. I’m enjoying competing at the moment. »
Léonard Bem had great two rounds in Tunisia but did not manage to keep the pace during the week-end. As Wallace, he holed seven birdies and made a mistake on the 8th.
« I am very happy with the first round. The goal was to enjoy more being on a golf course. My game was very solid, my tee shots especially. I will try to stay focus but to keep in mind to play and having fun with the course and not let the score or the technical disturb me. »
Austria’s Robin Goger, 20, is only one shot back, neck and neck with France’s Raphaël Marguery. Then a pack of six players is one shot further. The projected cut after one round is one under.

Daux set rythm in Sokhna
Franck Daux of France kept on shinning in Sokhna golf club. He fired 63, -9 and set the course record af A/B course. He only had one bogey because of a penalty he gave himself on 15th fairway.
It was a great day in Sokhna today. The sun was generous and hot temperatures warmed up the atposphere quickly. The club house leader of morning players was Belgium’s Kevin Hesbois with -5.
« I had to say, I holed many putts and that was the key today. I had some dropped shots but all in all a good day though. »
Enlgand’s Liam Harper and France’s neo pro Léonard Bem signed for same score to tie for second position but the leader took a four shot advantage thanks to stunning 63.
Obviously every part of his game went in the right direction but his playing partners appreciated his honesty as well.
Daux grounded his ball and he made it move on the 15th fairway. He had to replace it and dropped one shot.
« It was obvious that it was my fault. The ball moved half a couple of centimeters and still, it had moved. »
Enrico Maccario said « It was very classy and honest. Even if we are playing a gentlemen sport and this behavior is normal, it is always very nice to see that it happened. There was no witness, neither Léo or I did see anything. So very elegant from Franck. »
Franck Daux won his maiden title last week and he said his confidence is high and that he hit very close to the pins.
« I have been playing well for a couple of weeks now and I tried to keep on staying focus to the play and not to be a spectator of myself. I adapted my putting well on greens wich were a bit pumpy at the end of the day. Very happy with this nice advantage after one round. »
