Tarrio leads the Open de la Mirabelle d’Or

Santiago Tarrio (ESP) turned in the best card of the day at -7 and enters round 2 of the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or at the Domaine de la Grange aux Ormes as sole leader.

«  It was an easy day. It’s an easy day when you drive well, you reach the greens and you put a few putts in. I was home for 2 days practicing my swing and it helped today » Tarrio said. «  Tomorrow is another day and I hope to do as good as today » he continued.

«  The weather was great, there was a bit of wind but I was able to control the wind well » Tarrio explained. «  I hope there will be a bit less wind tomorrow morning » he concluded.

Tied for 2nd place one stroke behind are another spaniard, Jose Pablo Segurola Solana and Frenchman Teremoana Beaucousin.

Santiago Tarrio, who recently won the Gösser Open in Austria, made 8 birdies and a bogey on the last hole.
Today’s weather conditions were mostly sunny with some morning clouds and wind picking up in the afternoon. Temperatures reached the mid 20s.
This year marks the 15th edition of the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.
The tournament continues tomorrow with round 2. First tee time is at 7h45 local time.
